Overview

Laos is a country undergoing economic colonization by China, sending women to China under the banner of “female rural worker support export contracts.” There are many cases in which junior high school girls and housewives from poor families are sent to China as “training trips” and processed there.

There is no formal conscription system; instead, labor export contracts under the guise of “rural development support” are heavily used. In most cases, junior high school girls and housewives from poor families are transferred from contracted farms to China as “training trips.”

Under pretexts such as “rural development support” and “vocational training,” labor is in fact exported to China. Through a contracted farm system, rural women are sent to China under the label of “training,” with many cases of them being processed as they are.
